Differences from the production version are:

	Lacks Japanese Urushi lacquer over brass.
	Shape is stretched oval but no rectangular base.
	Holder is black lacquer, not the same material as the pen.

This is even harder to find than the production version which was limited according to Parker's own 1988 sales literature.

Here is a close-up of the base which shows the facets just like on the pen.

Note that a fountain pen (FP) section will also work with this desk pen.  In fact, the  two-pen version of this desk set consists of one FP and one rollerball pen.  I can sell you a new FP section, which are listed here.

Condition is excellent.
